Een ontzettend informatieve en unieke ervaring! Je kunt zelfs een stukje door het riool lopen, waarbij je mensen boven je over de straatputten hoort lopen en wc’s ziet doorspoelen. Na een bezoek aan dit museum kijk je echt anders naar de putdeksels op straat. Dankzij de vele interactieve onderdelen is dit bijzondere museum allesbehalve saai. Je zult versteld staan van de verborgen wereld onder onze voeten! Wel een kleine waarschuwing: je moet wel een beetje tegen de geur kunnen. Dus misschien beter om dit bezoek niet te plannen op een brakke ochtend na een avondje stappen in Brussel.

Excellent museum. Strong focus on the perspective of those working underground, equally covering a lot about urban (waste)water management, the influence of climate change, a historical overview etc. Super well done and humorous audio guide. So far the best museum I have seen in Belgium. A must for all living in or also visiting Brussels. And: I saw a rat, maybe Émile.

I only had a few hours in Brussels and my partner convinced me that this was how we should spend our time. I was very weary about this but decided to go as he was so excited by it. We had a great time! It was a wonderful museum, very interactive and the staff were lovely. They have Dutch and French on the boards with English audio tours/guide book that explains all the exhibits. There are many interactive displays as well which we enjoyed quite a bit. Then you get to go and see both the covered parts of the senne and the sewer! Be warned… it’s not a pleasant smell. Oubliez le musée de la BD, le musée Magritte ou l'hôtel de ville de Bruxelles, la véritable attraction de cette capitale se trouve ici ! Entre pédagogie et immersion historique, ce musée saura vous guider à travers une histoire de la ville que l'on a tendance à oublier mais qu'il est bon de se rappeler. I never expected to be so fascinated. An amazing insight into the history of Brussels, the freedom to explore a section of the tunnels, and the best audio guide I've ever listened to (and the first time I've actually wanted to hear the audio tour in full, absolutely gripped by voice actors and information).
