On Saturday 17 October, dive into the night and the underground of Brussels during Museum Night Fever at the Sewer Museum!

Have you always wanted to explore the city underground and afterhours ? Museum Night Fever is your chance! In our unique museum, you step into a hidden world: that of Brussels’ sewer network and the mysterious, covered Senne. Our standing guides take you through Back on Senne, our exhibition about the capital’s ‘forgotten’ river. As part of the exhibition, immerse yourself in Souterraines, the poetic light and sound installation by artists Romain Tardy and Coline Cornélis. This moving spectacle brings the Senne back to life on the waves of the real river, which flows through the museum.

The Underground Wishing Well, an installation by Maud and Aaron Gyssels

During Museum Night Fever, you’ll also have the unique to discover The Underground Wishing Well. This installation by dj and artist duo Maud and Aaron Gyssels brings together sound, ritual and imagination. Inspired by ancient customs in which water is seen as a gateway between the human and spiritual worlds, The Underground Wishing Well invites you to make a wish. DJ sets by the artists and Coline Cornélis create a soundscape full of longing and memories. With contributions by Neneh Noi, Céline Lafrikh, Marie Willeaume and Thessa Krüger.

This temporary, nocturnal ceremony is both an offering and a tribute to the water!
