On the occasion of Heritage Days, discover how architecture, nature, infrastructure, residents and everyday uses shape our perception of the city. At the Sewer Museum, the hidden history of the Senne comes to light!

Having disappeared from the urban landscape, this iconic river is stepping back into the spotlight. Symbolising memory, nature and renewal, our guides will reveal its secrets through our exhibition Back on Senne. You can also enjoy the captivating sound and light installation created by Romain Tardy and Coline Cornélis.

Continue your exploration of the river in the city itself! Accompanied by archaeologists from urban.brussels, discover the traces of the Senne in the urban landscape. Excavation sites, ancient remains and iconic locations come together in an original walk back to the river’s roots.
